Malik S. father, comedian, actor, writer, and ex-high school teacher. Malik is the last of seven children. So he grew up around laughter. Malik believes his older siblings are funnier and more talented than him. He just had the guts to go for it. Malik was always small for his age growing up in Miami.  His first and only punch was to be funny. If that didn’t work, RUN! After graduating college with a bachelor's in English, Malik gave teaching a try. He discovered he was good at it but wasn’t passionate about it. So he stepped away to fulfill his dreams as a comedian. Writing fell in his lap when his mentor Cedric The Entertainer asked him to join the writing staff of a tv show Cedric was staring in (The Soul Man). Knowing nothing about writing Malik took the opportunity and ran with it. His humor even lead to him getting a reoccurring role on the show as Curtis. Today Malik continues to tour the world doing standup. And he continues to write and act on network tv shows. Malik is currently a writer and actor on CBS’s “The Neighborhood.”
